Mama and her tiny baby (Sorry for the blur)

Piper was really barking.  I saw this mama deer outside my window.  Her little baby  poked his/her head out a few minutes later.  I ran to get my camera and when I returned they were on the move.  I have never seem such a tiny deer.  All week-end the mama stood guard in our yard.  We never saw the baby but think she is close by somewhere.  Mama moved from spot to spot with her eyes on our back door.  This morning I saw her in the front year.  My Hubby said he was going to check for the baby tonight, just in case there is something wrong.  Anyway, sorry for the blurry picture.  Oh, mama stomped her foot at Izzy, our Yorkie.  Izzy was tied but mama didn't want to take a chance.
I have been very lucky this week-end.  I never win anything.  I won a Cottage Charm give-a-way from Annabelle's Closet and today Grandma Yellow Hair (Maggie's) birthday gift.  I am so exicted.  Can't wait on the packages to arrive.
Speaking of Give-a -Ways, Dan at Yesterday once more, has a great one right now.  Check it out.....he sure has lots of older collectibles.
Have a great week everyone.   ((((HUGS))))

Oh Debby, I just yelled downstairs to my husband that we must take a weekend trip to Utica. He shouted back up, "Isn't that the ice cream place?" I do just love that tea towel. Thank you for sharing. I so enjoyed your Memorial Day post, and I absolutely love the statue in the yard of the soldier. By coincidence my husband and I saw a mother and very tiny baby deer on Route 42. I didn't know they could be so small! Hope you are enjoying this break in the weather! Elizabeth

We don't have any deer here in this part of Alaska Debbie but I sure did in Northern CA. I never did see any little fawns come to think of it. Over on Kodiak there are lots of this small breed of deer which have a very cute face. It's hard to get clear shots when in a hurry I know how that is.

Debbie.. I love your background too.. LOL. I had been looking for ever to find a quilt one.. Great taste you have.. Thanks for posting on my blog. I hope the plants we put in are not going to be ones the deer like,. I think the landscaper chose ones deer resistant .. time will tell. After all They were here first & they have to eat..We will share! Have a good week.

We raised a baby deer once. My father-in-law had been mowing in the hay field and found her. We weren't home so he put her in the rabbit hutch and left a note.."surprise in the hutch"..I thought that was the strangest rabbit I had ever seen..Then it hit me..it's a fawn. She was only about 4 days old. She had to be bottled fed every 4 hours. she lived in my farm kitchen for about a month in a large box with hay..we did love her!! We took her to a petting zoo when she got older.
I love your quilt paper!!

It's always so much fun to win stuff - congratulations! It's always such an event whenever we see a deer since it doesn't happen very often.
