I was so excited to go to the sale. We woke up to snow on the ground and it is cold. The barn was heated and the parking was snow covered or muddy. I am glad that I went really early before it got crazy busy. The vendor I like was where I first headed. Here are the two dolls arrangements that I purchased.
She takes dolls that are broken and fixes them in to these sweet things
She is the one that I was afraid I would offend by copying her ideas. She wanted me to see the duck one in the little suitcase. I told her that I made one but it wasn't like hers. Her suitcase was $89.
Of course I went for small.....downsizing remember.
She greeted me by name and wants to go to doll auctions with me. She said she loves giving people ideas to do things on her own. She is very artistic and that adds a whole different layer of creativity.
This was on a little canvas. She uses a picture then adds her painting and a wooden picket fence like you would use for a fairy garden.
Her neighbor had this necklace. Won't that be fun for me to wear at doll club or auctions. (Now to figure out how to make these. A to find little dolls like this.)
There are lots of vintage items and furniture but I didn't see anything that I needed.
I have wanted to get some business cards for my little doll business. I have been looking for vintage toy and doll pictures and couldn't find one I liked. Even though this picture isn't a great one, it is a favorite of mine. This is my late cousin and me. I am the one in the dark curly hair. My great aunt owned a fancy store in California and would send me beautiful dresses. In this picture I look like I have hand me downs from my brother. I ordered my cards with a little help from Vista Print. I only got a few because I don't know how they will look printed. The preview came out better than this one did. Here is another I thought about using. Isn't that doll huge. There was just too much going on in this picture. Most of my pictures have me holding dolls or puppies.
And here is the pretty snow that we woke up to.
Well that's it for my day of getting out and about. Hope I didn't wear you out with all the photos.
Have a nice week-end.

The hospital gift shop sure was a score! I am so in love with the picture with the addition of picket fence and flowers, really special. And how nice you found someone to go to sales with that shares your interests! Sounds like a "win-win" day!
That little picture of the little girl with the fence is darling. It is so nice when we run into people that inspire and encourage us and are not afraid of being 'imitated'. Hope your cards turn out great. xo Diana
What a great way to end the day with some great finds. I have thought of order Vista print cards just so we would have some to give to people with our name and address and phone no. Hope yours turn out better than you expect! The snow was pretty and we also had some on and off all day but it didn't leave the ground white.
I have been trying to catch up with friends tonight. I have enjoyed reading your blog and I love the dolls that you found. People copy other people's crafts all of the time. We haven't had the snow that you all have had. I think it makes a pretty picture. Take care and be careful. Hugs and Prayers from your Missouri Friend. Shirley
I think that you have found a great friend in the lady who makes all those treasures with vintage dolls.
It's wonderful that she is willing to share her ideas with you and want to go vintage doll hunting with you.
Good luck with your doll business.
Hugs,
JB
Those little doll arrangements are so darn cute and I love the necklace too!
It sounds like you had a great day. Love your cards. I really like the photo of the fence and little girl.
Blessings,
Betsy
Everything is so cute and just soooo creatively put together. Your new necklace will be fun to wear. CUTE!
Debby, I know how much you loves dolls. Glad you got to a sale to enjoy yourself. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
Hi Debby! Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving such a sweet comment. I haven't been to garage sales, Estate sales or any of the thrift shops. You did well and found some bargains. Those American Girl doll clothes..heavens!! :):) Good for you!
I'm finally getting caught up on reading your posts. Goodness, you have been having a run of bad luck (accidents, etc). Let's hope it gets better from here on. I have a lot of my printing done with Vista and I'm always pleased with the work.
Hank may be experiencing some anxiety issues. I certainly would not take my doggies back to that groomer. It's not good for your dog to come home traumatized. As for the chewing everything in sight, he should outgrow that. I use pee pads for Pogo, and he doesn't piddle anywhere else in the house. When the weather is not so good or when it is late at night, this is a blessing.
Feel better, and have a super day. Hugs, Edna B.
I think it's neat that this lady takes broken dolls are makes them into something so cute, and how nice that she is willing to share her knowledge to help others in their own creativity. That photo of you with all that dark curly hair is sweet. xo
The Barn Sale looks like it was a lot of fun Love those little dolls, Sweet photos,
Judy
Cute pieces you picked up Debby! I adore that picture you shared. I'd love to do something like that for each of my granddaughters! So sweet! Sending prayers to you! Blessings, Cindy xo
Those pictures of you are really cute, Debby!
Don't feel bad about commenting only rarely. I was just explaining how I felt. I'm happy to hear from you, whenever you can manage it, but never feel you have to :)
