I have good news. Our daughter in law has been moved out of ICU into a regular room. Wow, what a week. She had to be put under twice for blood patches. The first one didn't work but the second one did. They put this patch on her spine where she had the spinal tap. Her headaches just got worse and worse. The spinal tap was done at the first hospital, the one close to home. They were trying to rule out meningitis. We still aren't sure why they did that . Even thought the headaches were present from the beginning this spinal tap made them worse. Makes you want to question that procedure. Now, she has to be put back on the blood thinners for three days before she can leave. She will continue the blood thinners for months to come for the healing of the carotid artery. Also very strict restrictions. It is all a big blur as far as all of us are concerned. I am sure the doctors have had to have other cases like this. Sometimes it seemed that no one could figure it out. Maybe because of the headaches. I'm not judging because we are all so thankful that she is better.
I truly believe that the prayers have been the reason that she is better. Thank you so much.
I put this little fairy garden together about 5 minutes before the open house. We had gone to church and came home to finish up things before the realtor came. I used a rusty tool box. One of the plants was barely alive but it may survive. I loved this little gnome. I will add mulch and other things. We had bits of snow yesterday. We are still a month out before we can plant.
The open house went pretty well. A couple people were really interested. But still no offers. But at the same time there are no condos in our little town that are for sale. Hoping something comes up when we finally get an offer. I have been glad that there haven't been showings this week. We barely made it through the open house. It's hard to focus on other things when you have a family member is ICU.
Now, I need to figure out where I was when this all started. I need a restart button.
Again, thank you all for your prayers. The little girls have done so well. I am so proud of them. They had two sets of grandparents and their aunt and uncle and two cousins to reassure them that they were loved.

I'm so glad to hear your DIL is doing better. My prayers are for her to continue on the road for a complete recovery.
Your little garden is so sweet. Take care my friend.
Sweet hugs

I'm so glad your daughter in law is doing better, my prayers are with you all.
This post made me think of the term "the timing is right". You have so much going on right now that it's probably there isn't a condo available that you would want.
I hope your DIL is doing better as I write this. And I hope your life settles back down so you can find your new home - and sell the house.

I agree, prayers do work. I'm so glad your daughter in law is doing better. What a scary thing to go through.
Prayers will continue for her return to good health.
What a lot of concerns to be dealing with that you've been put through lately. It never seem to stop. I sure hope that things will start to get better for you.
A good thing you have your miniatures to sooth you and take you away in another dimension. Love your little fairy garden.
Hugs,

Prayers continue for the healing for your DIL. I'm so relieved to hear that she is doing better. Such a scary time. Your little garden is so sweet. I'm glad you found time to do a bit of creating/playing during all this stress.

Hi Debby, How I can relate to some of what you have been going through only ours has been with out son-in-law. He got his stitches out yesterday, but it is scary. My hubby has only had one spinal tap in his life and I would not want him to have another one. I am like you I sometimes question some of the test that they do. Hope all is well with you. I will continue to say prayers because that is what has kept us going. Many hugs and Prayers from your Missouri Friend Shirley
So glad to hear that your DIL is doing better! Will continue to pray for complete healing. Love your little garden! Blessings, Cindy
I am so very happy for your whole family, Debby, especially those two little girls that need their Mom.
God is good and you are most welcome for the prayers!
Love your little fairy/gnome garden. That is really cute. Good luck with the showings and one of these days things will just click and it will happen. We need to start praying for that, I think. xo Diana
Bless her heart and her head, What a horrible thing for all of your to go through. It is not uncommon for spinal taps to create even worse headaches, especially if they leak. I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

What good news that your DIL will be home soon. I don't know where you find the strength to keep up with such a busy and hectic life. I hope all will be sorted out soon for you.
Your new little fairy garden is adorable. You have such a knack for making things look homey. Now it is time for me to put the plants outdoors on the step so that they can take in some sunshine.
You have a great weekend. Hugs, Edna B.
I am happy to hear things are looking up for your daughter in law. I am sure this has been a stressful time for all involved. I hope everything continues to go well.
What a week for all of you! Still sending prayers and good thoughts. Your fairy garden & gnome are so sweet!
oh my goodness...
can you rest?
i remember reading before about your dear daughter in law.
such a scary awful thing.
and yes. i too believe in the power of prayer.
i'm so glad she's getting better.
i don't trust the medical establishment. they brought on AFIB for me in the ER once... and i wound up in ICU as well. the meds they'd given me for severe hypertension through me into afib and very nearly cost me my life!
so i hear in your voice... the caution. and i understand.
try to rest a little!
what a load you have on your plate! xoxo
I'm so glad to hear that you DIL is better. That sounds like such a scary thing to happen! I know she'll be relieved to be out of the hospital and back home without headaches soon. I love your cute fairy garden!
Hi Debby,
I am so glad to hear your daughter in law is doing better. I can't imagine how awful and scary that must have been for you all! And for the girls and your son, too. Did they ever find out what was wrong? I too believe in the power of prayer, and I will continue to pray for her. And to think you had to deal with an open house during all of this! Love your gnome garden:) Take care, hope this next week brings better things for you!
Oh my goodness, what a time your family is having Debby. That is quite serious and I pray that you DIL is home soon and on the road to recovery. My sister in law had something similar happen and it was due to the hormones she was taking. Praying for you!!
Glad to hear your DIL is getting better.
Prayers certainly answered, so happy she is improving! Love the fairy garden, we enjoy doing those as well :-) Wishing you all the best!
Blessings,
Jill
