Under a Cozy Blanket

It's so cold today.  After being on the road in the bad conditions yesterday, Mr. Cozy and I are just staying in.  Izzy, the little one doesn't seem to mind being buried in the snow when she goes outside.  But Piper does.  He just panics.  He's very sensitive, you know.  Can you tell which one is the boss of the applesauce.  Sorry for all the cords. Usually the little fireplace hides them but someone moved it closer. The plastic bag at the bottom of the steps is a package we saved from the conditions, and is one of our neighbors.
I may have posted this one before.  I was just looking at my Kindle photos and thought I wanted to use it again.  Thanks Jenny.
I wanted to make robots with the candy hearts.  Mabel just wanted to eat the candy.  So I put all the heart candy, star bursts, and raisins in baggies for the four grands that live here.  I am sending my daughter a Valentine  of Lucy and money for a pizza night.  My daughter did and still does remind me of Lucy from Charlie Brown.
This was the other day. I went to sit down on the sofa at my sons' home and this deer about scared me silly.  You can't tell how close he was but if the glass wasn't there I could have patted his little head.  I love the hill they live on.  You can see for miles.  At night it's fun seeing the lights.  Since it is a small town, really a village, there isn't a ton of lights.  Oh this deer, he had many friends with him.  I haven't seen the fox that lives there lately.  That was a surprise as we don't have many.  We used to have a ton of rabbits but they are scare anymore.  There are coyotes around but not very many.  There was an article on Facebook this week.  It told of the 10 best places to visit near big cities.  Granville, Ohio was number 4.  Amazing, for such a small place.  There were places in California and Texas.

I am hoping that everyone is okay in this weather.  Spring will be here before we know it.  And that means fairy garden time.
Warm HUGS

Debby, I do not like being on the roads when it's bad out...I hate fog, snow and blinding rains...also icy conditions...so I pretty much stay home when it's nasty out. Hope you are staying warm. I am keeping the fireplace going these cold days. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

love your photos! How special to live in such a pretty place. DFW was voted as the #1 skyline in the WORLD and I admit it IS beautiful. Still - there's nothing all that scenic in nature around here.

Debby, you're wise to stay home in bad weather. it's not worth to get into an accident for no good reason.

I love seeing the deer picture but I bet they can be a nuisance in the gardens.

It's cold here in Ottawa but very stormy in my home province of New Brunswick. It supposed to snow heavy till 5:00 in the morning.

Stay well and safe.
Hugs,
JB

I was glad I stayed in yesterday - we live near the Ohio turnpike exit where the horrible accident happened yesterday. It was a total white out when the wind kicked up here. Today it was just bitter, bitter cold, so I braved the weather and went to a jewelry party. Gorgeous views out the window!!! I am not partial to deer myself. Our family has had too many expensive incidents with deer and our vehicles.

Love that your daughter reminds you of Lucy. lol Does she think she is like Lucy?

Stay inside and stay warm as long as you can- xo Diana

Those of us in the West wish we could have some of your wintery weather--we could use it and you'd probably appreciate the break. Maybe NEXT year we'll have winter because we sure skipped right over it this year.

And if we don't have winter then at least we can look forward to fairy gardens. I seem to have been captured by a mania for miniatures this year--fairy gardens, doll houses, and doll clothes--so much fun!!!

Debby, hope it warms up soon for you! It's been so warm here and we need a bit of that snow! I love watching deer. Before we fenced our backyard it was a regular highway for deer heading to the empty field west of our house. lol! I didn't see the article on fb, but our news said one or two places in UT were on the list as well. Can't remember where though.
hugs,
Jann

I have deer in my yard here in Florida and I just love them, although ours are much, much smaller. We have coyote's too. Two days ago I saw a big wild turkey peering in my back screen. I love all the wildlife. Stay warm,
Meredith

I hope you are safe and warm in your home if it's still bad out today. We are getting colder temps and have some freezing rain north of us. So far, we can still get out and drive if we need to though. So many people have had such a rough winter this year! It kind of makes me glad that I live in the south.
