GIVEAWAY - Some of my favorite things

Remember some time back I said I was going to have a giveaway when I reached 100 followers. So sorry that has taken so long. I am giving away some of my favorite things. Where's the heart ?

Valentines Day is getting close. My gosh where does this time go. It really is true that the older you get the faster time flies. Wish it would slow down.
I love this holiday. I think the reason why is that you can make it what you want it to be. A simple card or a greeting to someone you care about, is enough. Some years I send Valentines to lots of people. Not this year........running out of time. One year I made Valentines for a nursing home. I made them so they could put them on the dinner trays. I hope that little card brought old memories back to some of the residents.
I have memories of when I got those cute little cards at school. Remember making those boxes? I love watching my grandkids go through their Valentines. Choosing them these days must be so much fun. We have already received Hello Kitty and cat and dog tattoos in our mail box. My husband had a big laugh over his Hello Kitty Valentine.
When my kids were little I always baked the heart shaped cookies for school. So many times their parties would be on a Friday and there would be a snow day. So, we would have their party at home. I made it fun for them because they were disappointed that school was canceled. The cookies had to be eaten of course, they wouldn't be any good if we waited til Monday.
More hearts will be posted and hopefully those will help you to remember past Valentine Days in your lives.

New look, new heart

What do you think of my new look. I won this makeover.....don't hate me, hah. Bailey of B's Blog......her link is at the bottom right of my blog........designed this for me. I love it. I was ready for a change. The reason I had the little airplane was because it reminded me of my trips back and forth to see my grandchildren. I think I am the only one that knew that. This new look is to represent "My Favorite Things." That is what my blog is about. A little of this and a little of that.

A heart for you

Okay, I know I am way behind on my HEART posts. My computer isn't working. I am using another one that isn't working well at all. So bear (he he) with me for awhile.
My cousin is now in intensive care. I don't understand this at all. They are now doing a biopsy of her lungs. Supposedly her oxygen level is better from 82......and still on 100 % oxygen. Also her temp. is normal. She has now been in the hospital 10 days. Please continue praying for her. (Jo)
My DIL took me scrapbooking Friday night and Saturday at Archivers. We also ate at PF Changs. Did you know that the whole back of their menu is gluten free. This was part of my Christmas present. It was good to get out and about. Of course the weather was still bad. It's not supposed to be good all this week. I am getting so used to it that I just wait and see what happens.
Mr Cozy Blanket is doing well.....thanks for your prayers and concerns.
Off to finish some chores before the Super Bowl. Hope you all have a good week.

Share the love, Updates on the patients

Another day of Sharing the Love. This sweet music box was a gift many years ago.

I think the latest storm has passed. School was in session today but the temps are cold. We still have ice but the roads are good.

There has been some improvement with my cousin.
Not much but she is resting and eating a little. She is still in the hosptal.

Mr. Cozy Blanket got a good report at the surgeons' today. The doctor said that the fall didn't hurt him. Thank heavens.
Now he starts therapy.

Poor K. Bug, my oldest "little" hurt her arm roller skating and is in a splint. She also had streph this week.

Soon, I hope to be posting my giveway. I haven't forgotten. The giveaway is to celebrate my followers.......so it will be just for those that follow. Soon......I promise.

I hope the rest of you are bouncing back from this latest weather blast. I hear there is more coming next week. I can't wait.

Day Two of 14 Days of Love

14 Days of Love and some other things

This was my birthday gift from my cousin that is now ill in Florida. Her home is in Ohio. She isn't worse but still not better. Hoping for some good news soon. The surgical procedure did not help the doctors decide what is wrong. Thank you for praying for Jo and please keep her in your prayers. I thought this bear could be my day one of my 14 DAYS OF LOVE. I saw this on another post. I didn't see a linky thingie, and anyways I always seem to mess that up when I try.
Anyway this bear's apron says "The heart is the center of great things."

I found another snowperson. Excuse the bike. The little boy that built this snowman is always on this bike. Can you see the little snowman to the right of the big one. He has grapes for eyes, so I was told.

It is cold here. We still have heat after a bad ice storm and high winds. So many are having really bad weather and cold temps this week.
No school for two days BUT my program is still open.......enough said.

Mr. Cozy Blanket fell on the ice in our driveway last night. Only a week out from his surgery on his knee. Yes, he did hurt his leg. He is going to the surgeon tomorrow. I felt so bad for him. I put down 50 pounds of salt to make a path for him tonight to use.
