Little Cabin In The Woods Brrrrrrrrr

Baby, it's cold outside.  I posted this picture last year.  I hope you don't mind.  I love this little cabin.  It is very tiny but nice and cozy.  No one lives there and I'm sure it is freezing inside.  So I think I will stay inside my warm home.  I am waiting on the mail truck (expecting some heart packages) .  I will drive to the mail box and go grab a few groceries as our poor cupboards are bare.  Why do I dislike going to the grocery so much?  I think maybe it is the carrying in of those groceries.  If I could limit myself and just get a few bags that would help.  We will see.
Not alot to report in this past week.
My SIL is excited about her crown.  It has arrived.  It is beautiful and quite large.  Our next trip home I will give it to her.
My little Yorkie Izzy is still limping around  Some days she will put weight on her leg and then the next minute she won't at all.  She isn't any worse but not any better.  She goes back to the vet in a few days.
My granddaughter has a pretty fancy cast on her leg now.  It has a blue strip that glows in the dark and has glitter on it.  I guess she is non-stop and not using her crutches.  Now another granddaughter has scarlet fever.  She came down with it while staying with Doodle.  She told Doodle's mom, "This isn't good."  Leave it to a 6 year old.
Do you follow 'Little Susie Home Maker".  If so you will remember her post telling us that her mother called and her father had a heart attack.  Well he had several.  He would get a little better and something else would happen.  He passed away a few days ago.
Our Nana Diana is back with us providing us with our humor of the day.  I missed her while she was dealing with some health issues.
Summer of "Summer's Story" and JUst a Lil Raggedy" Angie could really use some prayers right now.
My headaches are still hanging around.  I will get a day or so off once in awhile.  They aren't  too severe but it can be depressing and I just don't feel like going anywhere (like the grocery).  Once again they are trying a new med.  It isn't working very well.
I can't wait to show you the hearts that are arriving.  I want them to be a surprise for the swappers.  Let me tell you that they are just adorable.
It is so cold here right now.  Wind chill of 0.  I know it is even colder some places.  I hope that you are staying warm and well.  If you are not feeling well remember to keep hydrated.

I thought I was the only one who hates to go to the grocery store. I think it's more the idea than anything else since once I go, I don't really mind all that much. (Assuming it is not crowded of course.) Cold here too, but supposed to warm back up into the 20s tomorrow, so that will be better. Keep warm!

Oh and scarlet fever -- hope she gets better soon. My daughter had it as a toddler and I took her to the doctor. The nurse asked what was wrong, I said she has scarlet fever. "How do you know?" he asked. "Just look at her." It's distinctive for sure.

Sorry about the little granddaughter having the scarlet fever. I hope that she soon will be better. With antibiotic she should be feeling much better in no time.

Does your little dog has arthritis? Mine was like that and some days could not climb the steps and wanted to be picked up and put down all the time. She had arthritis poor little Mitsy, toy poodle.

I'm not a shopper anymore. I'm in and out as fast as I can. I'm always in a rush. I hate shopping for grocery because I have to read labels for soy. I can't eat soy or soy by-product and reading labels is so time consuming.

It's cold and damp around here too. I love the wood heat this time of year.

I hope that they find what is causing your headaches. Have you ruled out a sensitivity to something?

Take care, stay well and warm.
Hugs,
JB

Hello Debbie,
I am sorry to hear that you are still getting headaches....I feel for you because I myself have a history of headaches.... I hate going grocery shopping to....the only shopping I enjoy is thriftshops and antique shops...yardsales, and estate sales :) ....It is really cold and we got snow last night...I did make it to the post office today to mail my other swap goodies!

Grocery shopping isn't fun for me either! I feel that I "touch" the stuff way too many times! off the shelf into the cart, out of the cart, into bags, out of bags to the shelf and then when I'm finally going to use it...that's a few times handling 1 product!!!
Very sorry to hear about Susie's dad...
You take care.
Warmly,
deb

Nice post. I loved getting all your news. I am so sorry about "Little Susie Homemaker's" father. I am worried about your headaches. Are they running tests and taking good care of you? I hope the new meds work. Pain is depressing. Feel better soon! Hugs,
Karen

I will sure add those people to my prayer list.
Does your puppy have a ruptured cruciate? I hope it is not that serious. I will pray for her also.
I hope you'll feel better and have less headaches-being tighten up with the cold weather doesn't help I suppose.

That is a beautiful little stone cottage. Wouldn't you just love to be able to fix it up and hang pretty curtains in the windows? It kind of calls to me too. I hope your little dog feels better soon, and of course your granddaughter.

Debby- I sure hope you can get rid of those headaches. I don't know how you have stood it so long. Did they do a CT scan on you-with dye?

I am so sorry to hear about your granddaughters...well..except for the hopping around one sounds like she is doing quite well for herself!

I HATE going grocery shopping. I hate the shopping part- I hate the toting them in part and I hate the putting them away part. The only part I don't mind is the eating them part.

I hope your pup is okay-it hurts us when our pets hurt.

We got all the way up to ZERO today -and are supposed to get up to 3 degrees tomorrow- a virtual heat wave. xo Diana

ps....can't wait to see the hearts-

I hope you feel better soon, Debby. I am so fortunate that I never get headaches and I feel bad for those who do. And your poor little pup...hope she's on the mend soon, too. I'm probably weird but I love to grocery shop. I just get lost in my own world, creating meals in my head and feeling like I am taking care of my home and family with each thing I buy. Carrying it all in is not fun, but there is usually someone home to give me a hand.

That cabin picture just reminds me of how cold it is here. 1 degree above zero today and it will be like this all week. I have run some errands and you really have to warm your car up well before venturing out. Ah, winter, gotta love it!

XO,
Jane

Hi Debby! I wonder why no one lives in that little cabin?? It would be so cute fixed up, a fire puffing out the chimney and candles in the windows! I'm mailing my hearts tomorrow!!! Please feel better soon!

For starters, I think that little cabin in the woods is just adorable. It would be so much fun to fix it up comfy. I'm also not a big fan of shopping anymore. I think it's because I'm just getting too lazy. Once I'm out there, I'm okay.

So sorry to hear that your Izzy is hurting so. I hope she is feeling better soon. Keep her warm, and spoil her.

I rarely ever hear of scarlet fever anymore. I hope she's better soon. So many folks hurting and sick. Hopefully, things will be better soon.

Many years ago, I used to get the wicked headaches. I found that mine were caused by my eyes. They were super light sensitive. My glasses took care of that.

You ask what I do for work. I take care of elderly folks in their home. I'm semi retired now, only have one client now. She's 95. I'm at work now, so gotta get busy. You have a great day.
hugs, Edna B.

Mailed my hearts yesterday - forgot about the Monday holiday. They said they'd surely reach you by Friday unless they get stuck in a snowbank, so I hope you don't have as much snow as in the cute cottage picture! Darn, I forgot to take a picture of my hearts - hope you'll take one for me.
Hope you get some headache relief soon! Both my daughters have migraines, as did my mother, but I've been fortunate. Hope your little pup gets better soon too.
Stay warm! Jane

So sorry to hear about your headaches. I used to wake up to nauseating headaches almost daily until I got a custom mouthguard. Doing much better now, at least most days. I also despise grocery shopping! I don't like filling the cart, unloading the cart, filling it back into the cart again, unloading it into the car, unloading it out of the car. It's so inefficient!!!!

Hi Debby - we are still having lots of snow which makes going out tricky. Hope your little Izzy and your granddaughters all feel better soon. Our doggies are longing to go out to play but keep disappearing in the snow when they do! Keep warm. Looking forward to seeing all the "hearts".

Hi Debby, So sorry that you are still suffering with those headaches. Hope they find something that helps very soon. If I were rich, I would have someone do my shopping. Don't blame you at all for not wanting to leave your cozy home! Love, Penny

Debby dear, I NEVER go grocery shopping. I make poor dear Patient Husband go. Actually, he seems to enjoy it..so I guess I shouldn't feel bad.

That little cabin looks cold. Cute but so cold and a very lonely.

Stay warm, dear friend, and be careful out there driving.

OH I could not believe when I read your comment about your grand daughters. I had to come by and see what was going on. Scarlet Fever and a broken leg is hard on everyone. I do hope they recover and fast. Bless their hearts.
Honey I can't believe your still suffering with those darn headaches. I have been waking up with one for over a week now so I don't know how you have managed to function as well as you have with yours.
Wish they would hurry up and find you the right med to take.
Sending you all prayers for healing.
Take care and stay warm. I hate to mention it was in the high 70's here today and I actually mowed and raked leaves. Crazy because in a few days it will be freezing again.
Love
Maggie

Hi Debby, I thought I would try to catch up on my reading tonight for a change of scenery. I think about you quite often and keep praying the headaches would go away. I never get tired of seeing your cabin. I have managed to escape the flu and my knee is getting better. Still have to wear the knee brace a little longer. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

We had a real cold spell here. My dogs have to have boots on or they fall over to get their feet out of the snow. They are very spoiled. Does your yorkie have snow boots?
