Banner Swap and The Week-end

I was in another fall swap.  This one was a banner swap.  You were to make a banner and also include 5 fall items for your swap partner.  I had Lynn of  Life on The Weinee Ranch.  I sent her this teeny tiny weinee doggie that I have had for about 25 years.
This was the fall banner I sent.  Sorry you can't see it well.  I also sent her a tiny Halloween banner.
I also sent this vintage birdie in this old and tiny drawer that I added a couple things to.  Also, I sent some tea and fall napkins.
She sent me all of this.  She had a scarecrow theme going on.  I love the banner that she sent.
Here are all the goodies in my antique wagon.  I tied those ribbons into a bow on the banner after the picture.  Love being in swaps.

Fall is really here.  The leaves were at peak this week-end.  We had a beautiful Saturday.  After Goose's soccer game I came home and painted all afternoon.  Another post about that later.
Yesterday we went to see the Moms.  My Hubby's Mom is in a nursing home and not doing well at all.  It upsets her trying to make conversation with visitors.  She would rather sleep.  We respect that and only visit a short time.  It is sad though since we drive almost two hours to see her.  My Mom lives close by.  She is the same age and is doing amazing.  My Mom has had all kinds of health problems while Hubby's hasn't had anothing serious.  It is hard to understand  the difference.
It was so windy all day.  Blew my VW Bug all over the place.  We had storms with winds up to 50 mph later last night.
I was awarded the Leibster Award from JoAnne at A pocketful of blue.  She said she cheated a little.  It is for newbies with less than 200 followers.  I have a few more and have been blogging for 2 1/2 years.  I know blogging about personal things doesn't always draw alot of followers.  This blog is just a journal of my life.  I am working on this award and will post later.  Thanks JoAnne.
Hoping that you all have a good week.

I love all the things you got! A banner - maybe you could do a tutorial on how you made the one you sent. I would like to do a christmas swap if you hear of one.

Debby you parted with one of your dog figurines. Don't you collect them?

I love that banner that you made for Lynn, and I'm sure she's gonna love it, along with that adorable little weinee dog!

It's nice receiving some mysterious package in the mail isn't it? It's like winning a give away, it doesn't matter what the prize is as long as one wins. That's what fun is all about.

Oh Debby, no FALL for us California folk! It's back up into the 90's. I'm so sad.
But...I have hope by Halloween the weather will be more Fallish.
I LOVE the goodies you won. Congrats to you!

Nice swap there. yes those are really fun. Too bad his Mom does not want to even stay awake, I guess she really wants to pass on and this is her way of getting there faster.
