Sharing some Country Living Christmas Love

I just had to share these pictures I took in the fall at the CL Fair.  I love decorating with my bears.

I really intending to do something similar with baby shoes I have of my kids.  Just for them for a keepsake.  If I have time and can find those shoes, I may still do it.  I always have big ideas of things I want to do.
I decided I was done with my shopping.  I managed to find everything that was asked for.  Still need packages to arrive, waiting, waiting....... If things weren't ask for then I didn't buy.  I will even out with money and gift cards.  After my therapy yesterday I went to lunch with a friend that doesn't do Christmas.  She and her husband didn't do Christmas when they were young and they don't now.  Zip, nothing.  She has never said if it was a religious belief, so I don't think that it why.  Her children celebrate with their children.  My friend talks about taking trips with their kids during the holidays.  They would just take off and drive somewhere without reservations.  She said that was really fun.  While that works for them, I think it's a little sad.  I agree, that this holiday is a bit over done, but it's about the "feeling".  Even though I try to make it a bit easier every year, I would miss celebrating.  The Hallmark movies, church, children singing, bells a ringing, yummy treats, gifts of love, and the lights......love the lights.

So I hope you are enjoying the most beautiful time of the year.  I could use a little snow......just a little.
I need to wrap a few presents because some little spies are coming over for a bit.  My car is grounded so I can't go to their house.  (An engine light that needs to be checked out)  It's a good excuse for me not to do anything today.  The realtor called.  This is the first time since before Thanksgiving.  Someone want to come see our house.  They wanted to come today. First time that I have said "no". I asked if they could come on Thursday or Friday.  Supposedly they will try to reschedule.  I need a little more than 5 hours this time around.
Well, off to check the mail and then to straighten up the house for the spies.
HUGS

LOL, Debby! I have spies coming, too, and have carted everything I can to the basement. I have all my shopping done save for two gifts. I got a lot done while I was "down". Right now I am coughing up a storm and hope this doesn't last! UGH!!! This getting old is not for sissies.

That is sad about your friend not celebrating Christmas. I wonder if they participate in their children's/grandkids' celebrations?

I love how all the bears are displayed! Someday I'd love to own a mohair "artisan" type teddy bear. Pat and Jennifer Murphy each make wonderful ones! You should look them up if you don't know about them already.
Thanks for sharing!

I went back and looked up the name of this bear vendor. Her name is Letty Worley of Lettie's Bears. She was nice enough to let me take these pictures at the fair.

Those bears are so darn cute! I have so many ideas in my head that I want to do, too, but somehow there's never enough time. And I wouldn't worry about the people who want to view your house. If they're really interested, they'll schedule an appointment that works for both of you. In the meantime, enjoy all the wonderful sights and sounds of the Christmas season!

Your bears are so cute, I think they are perfect for Christmas. There is just something about having cute bears out at Christmas time! I need to wrap or hide a few little gifts before my grands arrive on Thursday :) Blessings, Cindy

Debby, your bears are gorgeous! I love your decorations. It was a bit sad to hear that your friends never celebrated Christmas with their kids. I can't imagine how that would feel to a child. Ah well, to each his own.

Pogo and I are all ready for Santa. Our tree is up and decorated with gifts all around it. The last of my boxes will be taken to the Post Office this week for mailing. Now we can just sit back and enjoy the season.

As for the real estate showings, if the people are really interested, they will come back at a more convenient time. You just take care of yourself.

Pogo and I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas. Hugs, Edna B.

Thanks for your feedback on the word verification! I think it is just a new blogger thing we have no control over. I enjoyed your thoughts here. I agree Christmas can get out if hand, and often does. But I would miss so many things about it. Like you say, there are some things that just make it "Christmas" for each of us. I love getting my bears involved too! LOL!
