A little of this and a little of that

(This cute little bunny was on the box of some chocolate once upon a time. )

Okay first up........My grandson is doing well. His mom and dad are still in shock and he is driving them crazy for fear he will bump his lip. He acts like he normally does and is a wild thing. I called this morning and he was yelling, "Daddy sit." He wanted his daddy to play cars. I am heading out to see if I can find someof those Easter eggs with matchbox cars in them to send to him. Yep, he is getting spoiled.

Another buzzard story......just when you thought I said "no more." Well this didn't happen to me. A over the top OSU Buckeye fan was returning from the OSU basketball game in all his gear and in his over the top fan convertible when he hit a BUZZARD. That buzzard came through the windshield and knocked him out. (I don't make up stories, honestly) Luckily his passenger was able to get the car stopped. That buzzard did a number on the poor guy. They showed him on the news with a swollen cut up face and a black eye and blood everywhere. (Seems to be a theme this week) They said the buzzard weighed 35 pounds. Now, I have been telling you these bad boys are big........35 pounds is big.
Oh, by the way the OSU Buckeyes are in the final four....Go Bucks........OH IO.

There was a picture in our local paper of an eagle's nest and two eagles flying overhead. I told my husband that I saw two eagles the other day and I am sure he didn't believe me. You see I see weird things that no one else every sees.......like an albino groundhog and squirrel, a mountain lion or bobcat that only a few people saw, a spotted deer.......not a baby, a grown one that looked like a painted horse..........I don't make these thing up.......and I have said that before.(he he) But it is exciting that we have a nest here in our little neck of the woods in Ohio.

Please bloggers turn off your word verification, I am going blind.

I have found some amazing prices on Amazon lately on books.....Matthew Mead's Flea Market finds.....bookazine.....only $10 and free shipping. Both Nie Nie and Enjoying the Small Things books $10 and $12. I can't drive to Barnes and Noble for that. And the price is still cheaper that in the store. I got Matthew's book and it is really nice. Can't wait on the other two books. I can't see enough cute pictures of that Little Nella.

I am thinking of a giveaway........love doing them.

I start an online art course this coming week. I won it on Simple Thoughts........sweet.

I am making things for my granddaughter's birthday party. She will be 6. She is our unique grandchild to say the least. The theme is "BIGFOOT". Seriously.......have an ideas that you want to share.

Our yard is a winter mess......I want and need new furniture, a new roof and hardwood floors. I think it is called Spring Fever.

My granddaughters are coming to spend the night tomorrow. They haven't been here for ages because of all the germs and surgeries. I am so excited.

Is Easter honestly almost here. What happened?

Thanks everyone for all your sweet comments, prayers and concerns.......you are just the greatest. I am so thankful for all of you.
Enjoy your week-end.. ((((((HUGS)))))

Hi Debby that buzzard weighing 35 pounds is amazing, not sure what eagles weigh, I will look it up. Glad to hear the little grandson is doing okay with the lip stitching. People don't turn off that horrible word verification because they can't figure out how, a lot of people are really computer challenged.
Take Care and have fun with the family. Nan

Glad the little fellow is doing okay. I have fond memories of my great aunt spoiling me rotten when I was sick or hurt! That's what grandma's and aunts are for! Wow, those buzzards are going to kill someone. Ours pretty much just stay in the old dead tree and look Halloweeny.
A Big Foot party sounds like so much fun. There definitely needs to be some kind of "hunt" for him!

Blessings

So glad the little guy is back to normal! - Love all of your this and that. - What a very freaky story about the bad buzzards. - I turned my word verification off as soon as I had trouble myself on other blogs, at first I got some strange comments but it hasn't happened lately (fingers crossed). Have a good time with your little girls. xo

The story of the buzzard is something else! It's scary! The poor guy is lucky he didn't have his eyes clawed out. I would have lost control of the car. I have a fear of big birds because we have falcons and they have killed some squirrels in our yard. My little do is only 8 pounds! I do worry.

The party for your granddaughter sounds like fun! And it looks like you will be having a great weekend. Just don't let anyone sneeze on you!

XO,
Jane

P.S. I really love the necklace and would have worn it in the picture but I don't think a close up of my chest is suitable for my blog!

Hi Friend! No I missed your email I will go back and look.
I had to do some catching up on my blog reading. Your grandson...ouch!!! I know that was scary.

We don't read about many buzzard stories...here we read about deer and wild hog hits. They do horrific damage to the car...and God help you if you throw them into your windshield. Yikes!!

I know about seeing things no one else does. Go read my story over on my rv page....then email me....lol warning you might pee in your pants...lol

Hugs and I miss you too. Cindy

That buzzard weighs more than our Christmas turkey and I wouldn't want THAT thrown at my face. Poor guy but great story. You can hear him in his old age 'did I ever tell you the time I got a buzzard in my face?'. xx

I love all your fun facts here today, Debbie....from buzzard story to the things you SEE that NO ONE else does. You weren't taken UP by a UFO at any time, were you?;>)

I am glad your little grandson is doing better. I hope he doesn't re-injure that area. Hope you are having a great Friday- xo Diana

So glad to hear that your grandson is recovering now. That can be so scary with they have an accident like that! I'm in awe over that buzzard story. I've never heard of such a thing. Good thing he had a passenger in the car with thim or the outcome might've been much worse!

Glad to hear that your grandson is doing better. That sure sounded like a nasty accident.

I am so glad that I don't have to worry about buzzards in California. Sounds scary. The only thing I worry about are skunks and raccoons. Oh, and today I found a little lizard in my kitchen. Thank goodness, my son was home to take it outside! I don't like reptiles!!

I agree...I can't believe it's almost Easter. I've got to order Matthew Mead's bookazine soon. Thanks for sharing about Amazon.

LOL! I agree, PLEASE turn off the word verifications! It's crazy what they come up with to make you type and I can't tell what half the letters are.

Glad the little guy is doing better. I'll have to look for those books.

Good Golly Miss Molly...that buzzard story is unbelievable. Thank heavens there was someone else was in the car. Glad the babe is OK....and I know you are going to love having your little visitors. We are at Eloise’s. The party went off yesterday BEFORE the thunder and rain and we will be going home this afternoon. The flowers here are all in bloom and so pretty but the pollen is a killer. Take care...Genie

You never cease to amaze me with all your stories and sightings. I used to think I was the strange one! LOL
I think you've been singled out as
"special."
Remember I told you we had one buzzard in the back- well, there are now two. suckers didn't make it to Hinkley,apparently... They are ginormous and I certainly wouldn't want one coming any closer to me than they stay now.
Glad the little guy is doing better. Kids are resilient and he'll be okay. It's always hard for parents to see beyond the initial "owie." Take care and stay well.
hugs, Sue

Oh, no! That buzzard story is weird. I can't imagine how shocked you would be to see that flying at you. I have nightmares of deer coming through the windshield and kicking me, but now I'll be thinking of buzzards also!

I know what you mean about BIG birds, we have lots of eagles here (and by the way I am the one who sees things that others don't see too) anyway, when we are on the highway and an eagle is sitting on a dead deer..they will not move! You have to slow down to go around them! God bless the little guy's lip...spoil on grandma! :)

A 35 pound buzzard -- wow. I caught the end of the OSU game. What a tragedy. My in-laws went to Ohio State. My husband was the only rebel in his family. All his cousins and uncles and aunts also went to OSU.

Buzzards are very big birds! And I love that your granddaughters are coming for a visit and that one of your granddaughters picked Bigfoot as the theme for her birthday party...too cool! I'm sorry your darling grandson has had such a tough time, I hope his surgery goes well, poor little guy!
