White out, black out

Yesterday I went to Barnes and
Noble to finish my shopping in another town. I don't do malls after Thanksgiving.....seriously. I had a double arm load of toys and books and made it to check out and the power went out.
All the stores, restaurants and the street lights......all went out. I came home and ordered everything online.

Today we are having a white out of sorts.
Not as bad as some of our neighbors in the Mid West. Still don't know why we are called the Mid West. It's Ohio, we aren't even near the middle or the West.
Sorry about the dark photos but it was getting dark. I couldn't get my window down so these are taken through my car windows.
I love this kind of weather. I don't like having to be out in it if it is really bad but I love in inside under my COZY BLANKET.

I do all my shopping on line for everything practically. Right now I'm waiting on a 9X12 living room rug to be delivered from Lowe's which is 75 miles away. Looks like it would have paid you to stay home and shop as you ended up doing. Nan

I'm with you - why Ohio is considered Midwest is beyond me. The snowfall was very pretty today. Not looking forward to tomorrow though. Supposed to be cold, cold and more cold.

Your pictures are so so pretty!! I love them. I agree - snow is so fun - if you are looking at it through a window. ;)

OH NO! Talk about bad timing. It's freezing out there this morning. BURRR!

Great picture of the Buxton Inn.

Congratulations! I saw where you won a giveaway. Have a great week! La

I live in CA where yesterday it was in the 80's, so I am rather jealous. It looks beautiful!

I agree, this is great weather, IF you can stay cozy at home! Thanks so much for visiting Buttermilk Cottage today and please come back often.
Best,

Debby, You are hilarious- no mall shopping after Turkey Day! I want to see the quality of what I buy so I rarely order anything. Plus, I don't like having to straighten out crazy problems, such as what you are experiencing. I prefer to yell at people in person....
Our snowstorm came and went. Got a few inches and driving was treacherous last night. Today was beautiful and schools were only on a delay. It can stay like this and then snow a little for Christmas Eve, as far as I am concerned. Thanks for your visit. ~ Sue

Fabulous pictures Debby. It's nice to "see" snow and not have to deal with it here in FL. I can't even remember the last time I was in a mall????

I like your pictures Debby. I don't feel much like decorating but I sure do like seeing other people's decorations.

I need to catch up on your blog. I bet you've got your house looking fantastic for the holidays.

Thanks for checking in on me and being my friend. It's people like you who do make this all a little easier. God bless you!
