100 year old couple

Did you know that Ann and Andy are celebrating 100 years.  Yep, they are.  Pretty awesome in my book.  I know my kids had a room done in Raggedy Ann and Andy when they were little and shared a room. They had yellow plaid curtains.  We had a lot of the dolls. Until I stored them in a basement.  Yep, they molded.  There were many at the last auction.  I didn't get any.  Some collectors know everything about these dolls.  I thought once a Ann always an Ann.  So I didn't bid on any.  Plus I didn't want a moldy one.  I ordered the cutest rag doll, not an Ann, off of Ebay.  I asked first if there was a moldy or smoke smell to it.  I stressed that I was allergic.  Nope.  She even had her husband smell and he said "Nope".  Before I even got her out of the box I could smell the cigarette smoke.  So Dolly is living in the garage for now.  These little dolls were from another auction .  My friend bid on the display they were in.  She gave me the dolls.
I am mending but still  down and out.  I am getting so far behind.  I haven't been out of the house for so long, but to go to Minute Care.  I am not worse so a little better each day.  I think.
And we can't forget about Pete.  He has company in the wagon for awhile.  Unless Hank steals one or two of them.

Whether you  a couple or a single give some love this week-end.  Hug yourself.

Debby, I always wanted a rag doll when I was little. I made my twins one each and my mom one for Christmas one year. Now I have mommy's doll back and I am going to freshen it up and give it to my great granddaughter. Don't you think that would be a good idea. ?? I know what you mean about smoke smell. My sister used to save her magazine for me and I would smell them in my car all the way home. I flipped thru them and quickly threw them away. LOL. shh. Blessings to you, stay warm these next few days girl. xoxo,Susie

I bought a sweet handmade Raggedy Ann and Andy for my daughter when she was 2. Now her three year old plays with them. I love the hand embroidered hearts that say"I Love You." Happy Valentines Day!
Blessings,
Betsy

I didn't know that Andy and Raggedy Ann were 100 years old. Those original old dolls must be valuable today. You have quite a collection.
Happy Valentine and get well soon.
Hugs,

I have a large raggedy ann and andy collection. I used to bring them all out at Christmas and they had tea parties all over the house. Just don't have the time or room anymore. So they live in my guest room closet. I just can't part with them (though I probably should). Hope you continue feeling better!

Oh, cute! A perfectly darling couple for sure! I have one pair that my grama bought my daughter over 30 years ago. They are so cute. They were made by a lady and bought through the mail. I have another handmade Ann that I found at a yard sale - and that's about it! Oh - I do have a garland of tiny Ann's and Andy's. So cute! I wish they were still as popular with little girls today. They are just so cute.

Your Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls are adorable. I did not know that they were that old. Oh well, I suppose we all get old, even dolls.

I hope you're better soon. One of these days I may have to look for a new doctor too. I'm not happy with the one I have.

Hank looks adorable writing his notes. Well, I hope that's what he's doing. He's a cutie pie!!

Our cold spell may have broken today. Oh gosh, I really hope so. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

There is nothing more gross than cigarette smell! Too bad that you got one like that. I don't think that smokers can smell it anymore. They've gotten so used to it. Hope that your doll collection airs out and can be brought inside to enjoy soon.
