Dog tired.

Hank and I are back at my mom's.  Her white blood cell count has now risen to 159,000 . High normal is 10,000.  Waiting to see the hematologist Friday.  Her family doctor is not sure we can make it til then.  All the labs were way off.  She is miserable. The family doctor gave me her report.  It says critical lab results.  She needs to be in the hospital.   But they don't have a specialist here.  He said he doesn't know what to do.  Please pray that something is done soon.

I'm so sorry Debby, such a hight count of white blood cells means infection with cancer patient. I'm sure the doctor is very concerned but you would think they have some special medicine to lower the white count. I hope that she can make it until she sees her oncologist.

You must be totally worn out. I'll keep you all in my prayers.
Hugs,
Julia

Sending prayers for your Mom. Before she passed away my Mom also had Leukemia, and I remember that her count went up to 160,000. Such a difficult disease to treat, and so difficult to see our beloved Moms so ill. Try to take care of yourself through all of this. Hugs, Pam

I just don't understand how doctors and hospitals handle matters such as this. You would think that they could bring in a specialist for your mom right now. Deb, I'll keep you and your mom in my prayers. You take care, hugs, Edna B.
