Another collection.......old cameras

I have always older cameras.  My favorite is the one on the top shelf.  It's a little Brownie.  I wish I would have saved on the cameras that I have owned.  I do have (not shown) my favorite Cannon  (film) camera.
I have never paid very much for any of these cameras.  I have noticed that they have gone up in price recently.  I found the one on the second shelf last week-end at the French Hen sale for only $15.  Not bad at all.  This week-end is the Springfield Extravaganza Antique and Vintage Market.  I tossed in my little mind whether to go or not.  A two hour drive through Columbus rush hour both ways, 80 degree weather, and lots and lots of walking but oh so much.  I decided not to go.  This morning I woke up to the news of extreme fog across the middle of the state (Ohio).  Near Springfield a big pileup on Interstate 70 near the exit for the sale.  Schools here were delayed for two hours.  The visibility at Springfield was "O".  I knew I made the decision.  I was worried about my friends Sue and Murphy.  I called and they were already there before the pile up and were okay.....whew.......scared me.  I hope all of my other  friends, vendors and shoppers are okay.  Shop til and be sure and show me your pictures.  I have lots to do inside and out.  I have to do my fairy garden and plant my flower boxes.  Have a wonderful week-end my friends.

My Mom always told me,"Follow your first mind...meaning your conscience, whatever it tell you, do it!" You made a wise decision!!! Those cameras are really nice...what a collection you have started! Have a Fantastic Friday!

Fabulous collection. I wish I would have held onto my grandparents camera collection when we bought their home several homes ago. Can't wait to see pictures of your fairy garden. I told Chris that I need a happy meal sometime this weekend so that I can get a fairy to play with.

Have a wonderful weekend.

I just bought a Wardette box camera for $9 at an antique shop. I am like you, I don't pay much.

These are cool! All my cameras were cheap Kodak's and later disposable ones. Hubby has an old one from back in his hippie days in the 1970's, but actually, it looks very much like the ones we use today.

I'm relieved you didn't go to the event, Debby. I always keep a lookout for the weather when we are gong places or the kids are. Especially with snowstorm warnings. Glad your friends were okay.

Have fun this weekend, I have to get outside and plant some flowers, too.

XO,
Jane

Awesome cameras!! That is a neat thing to have, and I am so happy you decided to stay home. I pray everyone is safe and had lots of fun. I am doing lots to get my moms yard ready for where we are having my daughters grad party!! She has a really nice yard there. I was wanting to make a fairy garden too!
Blessings,
Susie

That fog can be so deadly on the highways. Love your cameras. I have a few but do not have them on display.

Sorry not to see you but fully understand. We always drive the back roads up there so we don't have to make the dreaded left turn in or deal w the freeway traffic. We had to be there at 6 am and heard later in the morning abt the awful accident - I heard 11 cars and 4 semis were involved, I believe all were treated and released.

Hi Debby, I love your vintage camera collection. Finding them is easy, but the prices are high here too. They look so sweet on your corner shelves. I've been so busy lately , so sorry I haven't stopped by sooner. As always, thanks for your friendship...happy planting. Love, Penny

You've got quite the collection, Debby! I've noticed that the old typewriters can have a larger price tag, too, but every so often you find a gem for a good price. I decided not to go to Springfield this time, too. I'm sure I would have been stuck right in that mess.
