I am so excited.  The spring sales are starting.  This week-end the farm sale in Mt. Vernon and tag and garage sales in Granville.  Next week is the French Hen Barn sale in Marysville.  Then the following week-end (I think) in Springfield is the big antique and now vintage sale.  I have never been to that one but hoping to go this year.  Even though I am not a big spender I love going to see what they have.
These are all sales in Ohio.  If you would like more information just let me know.
I will choose partners for the book swap this week-end.  Let me know if you would like to join.
I worked alot on our front porch yesterday.  It is so long and skinny with pillars.  I have wicker furniture that would look so nice but not putting it out again this year.  We have such moldy weather here.  This porch is a pain.  The walk to the door gets small when you put furniture on the porch.  I have lived here forever and still don't have a handle on it.  I should post a picture and ask for help.  I have a long antique bench on one end and now I put the "plastic" chairs on the porch.  I know, plastic. but they are comfy.     I scrubbed them yesterday.  Then we had monsoon rain last night so they got a good rinsing.
I will post pictures.
I tried to start some painting yesterday.  The blue chippy doll high chair got way too chippy and rusted.  So it got some paint on it before the rain.  Have other things I need to paint.
So I may actually have some projects to show you soon.
Well, dearies, off to get this day moving.

I know what you mean about a 'moldy' place, although we haven't had much rain lately. Still our humid climate makes it hard. Would love to see a picture of your porch!
Sorry I can't join the swap, but might find a book to send you. I'm trying to clear out, downsize, etc., but I hate to part with anything!

Have fun Friday, Debby! Sue told me she was going to that sale, too. I'm going to the Springfield one ~ I'm shooting for the Friday of that weekend.

All those sales sound great! Even when you don't spend a lot, it's so much fun just to walk around and look. I like your little glass jar with eggs!
Hope your week is going well

I can't wait to see what projects you are working on. We have an awkward porch, too, but I do have a swing on it that I love. Isn't it funny how there is always some area that a person just can't seem to figure out?

Have fun going to sales! xo Diana

Would love to see pictures of your porch and projects. Our porch stays dry enough for wicker, but what I hate is that the floor always seems to be peeling!

My deck is big but needs scrubbing and painting. I painted it about 10 years ago and it need a fresh coat of paint but needs to be sanded firs and I no longer feel like doing those jobs any more as old age creeps in.

Have fun at your summer sales.
Hugs, JB

I love going to local sales. Those sound like they'll be fun. Good to hear that you can sit out on your porch now. Now that the weather is warmer, it's a good time to take in some fresh air.

I love those sales too, its still too cold and rainy for them up here in northern NH, but it is a favorite thing to do when the summer comes. Hope you find a few little treasures.

Hi Debby, I would love to join you on your outing if nothing else just for a change of scenery. I am like you. I just like to look at what they have and of course some of the antiques bring back a lot of wonderful memories for me. I enjoyed the pictures of the birthday party. It seems Angry Bird has arrived. I would love to have just a small porch, but we don't. Have a great weekend. Hugs Your Missouri Friend.

Thanks for reminder about the sale next weekend. I have never been so may have to move around some of my plans to go. With it being Mother's Day and my daughters bday celebration it may be tuff. :o( I am wanting to get out to more thrifts and barn sales this summer. You always seem to have such fun.
