Moving forward

This picture has nothing to do with the title.  My daughter found these Skellies at CVS.  They had several different kinds.  They were like $4 each.  This is about as spooky as I go.  I had them hanging off of a cabinet but every
time I passed by the bride looked like a bra hanging there.

Another tease picture.  This is the view from our hopefully new home.  My little grandson would love this pond and the stream.
We are full speed ahead.  We still feel like we need to be cautious mostly about our buyers and their loan.  We have had the inspections on both properties.  We had a new roof put on this week.  That was fun.  I gave the doggies calming pills, helped a tiny bit.  I must say today is nice and quiet.  The roof looks nice.  The warranty is for 50 years on the shingles.  That's a long time.  Now we are waiting on the buyers loan appraisal to come in.  Hoping and praying that we don't have any more requirements.  Last week we had to have the septic inspected.  They couldn't find it.  But once it was found and serviced it was okay.  We did have to pay for new risers.  That's just so they can locate it easier.    Still no closing date set up.  It is supposed to be on or before Nov. 19.  Our realtor said sometimes they just spring it on you at the last minute.  We only have two days to move after it closes.  Hoping to have back to back closings.  Who knows, we know that we may be in a hotel for a couple of days.  I will give you more details when this is all over.
I am packing things and selling things.  Not much furniture left.  Lots of misc. things, mostly my collections.  I have tried to scale them down some.
I am having surgery on my hand/finger next week.  Right hand and I am right handed.  It's for another trigger finger.  This time it is very painful.  I had a shot over a year ago and they can't do another one.  I know that I will be out of commission for a couple of days afterwards.
If you noticed I changed my banner picture.  You probably remember that I have been going to doll auctions.  Well, trying to turn it into a business.  Mostly internet sales.  Good buys on things that I get for a great price.  I am signed up for a Christmas Craft Show in November.  I am still going to do the sale.  This picture I took for the vendor page of the sale.  Actually most of this has been sold.
Well, that is about it for now.   Just wanted to let you know, I am alive and just a little busy or stressed, to say the least.
HUGS

It is very stressful buying and selling a house. I wish you a speedy sense of relief in the near future. We have been building our own home on the property since May. It has been such a roller coaster mega project and at our age not easy to do it by ourselves. The small carriage house was just not big enough and we had to plan ahead when we will be staying home in the winter and not going south. Soon we will be going south and the house is not quite done but it is so close. In March we will be back at it and I can't wait!

Wishing you a sale with no delay and quick recovery from your surgery.

We negotiated the mortgage of a house for our granddaughter and it was unbelievable the amount of inspections and requirement and tons of documents to sign from buyer, seller and lawyers, taxes and the financing and insurances and getting the closure date is another matter.
It was a real eye opener. It always cost so much for every little step of the process and ends up costing way more than just the mortgage payment. Selling a house is an income and will affect income tax I assume.

I hope that you will be happy in your new place.
Hugs,
JB

Wow- it sounds like everything is moving in the right direction. Be prepared. Both of my sons had their closings delayed twice. The second son had a closing date on the 5th so gave notice as of the 1st of the next month. By the 25th he was moving stuff into every garage he could find and got the keys to the new place the night of the 31st! His delays were weather related, sellers were from out of town and flights kept getting cancelled. The other son bought a foreclosure and it turned out although the bank had foreclosed, they never transferred it out of the previous owners name. This resulted in more searches than you can dream possible. But it all works out in the end.

I suffer from trigger finger, too. I have had it in both thumbs and my right index and left middle finger. I have been able to talk my doctor into multiple shots (aren't they more painful than you can dream possible?). I have managed to avoid the surgery. I hear it is a quick surgery, but that you have to do lots of rehab. Don't know if that is true. I will be interested in hearing how you do - hoping it is an easy, fast recovery! I am sure he is not going to be willing to do the shots again and my index finger is almost frozen.

I am just praying that your closing(s) go smoothly and that life smooths out for you and your hubby. You have had quite a go-round this last year or so. Hope you do well with your doll business...and it is a cute header.

I am getting ready to open an Etsy shop and help my son with his, too.

Praying that you have a good week and get good news about the buyer's loan soon. xo Diana

I hope Mom is doing OK these days, and that our surgery goes well. I would be at a loss without the use of that finger on my right hand. I know you are a nervous wreck worrying about the house closing. I will say some extra prayers that the buyers and their loan come through ON TIME. Thinkn got you.
