Hearts from the Swap.....More to Follow/ Some Updates

These two were together......the banner and the little package of hearts.  Next time I will be better about making sure they were labeled better.  The next one is signed but you can't see it.  It's from Lynn from Life on the Weinie Ranch.

I still have two packages to mail but most of the packages have already arrived.  You may have seen alot of the hearts that were posted from this swap on other blogs.  I was bad and forgot to take pictures til after I started mailing them......so a few may be missing.
This was so much fun.  It really was.  I already have people interested in a Bunny Swap.  After Valentines Day you will hear more about that.  So glad that everyone had fun with this one.  You girls have some sweet talent.

Okay some updates......my DIL's mother is finished with treatments but is at the worse part in her plan.  It will be like this for a couple more weeks.  Then in a couple months she will have tests to see if the cancer is gone.
My friends dad has been readmitted the the hospital a couple of times since I last posted.  He was recently dismissed to a rehab facility.  He is having a awful time.  They had said they didn't get all his cancer but haven't said what is next.  He is 50.
Both of these cancer patients are terribly thin. They were under weight to start with and now it is so sad.  So don't worry about a few pounds You may need them someday.
All of the baby hamsters survived and found new homes except for one and Goose used her sad eyes and got to keep one.  Now they have 3 hamsters in three cages.  The little one looks like a little hedge hog.  He is kinda cute for a rodent.
Doodle got the scarlet fever from Goose but so far no one else.  Surprising that Hope and the Baby Boys didn't get it.
My headaches.......they are better.  I think the new meds are helping.  The big change in temps. I think had something to do with them returning this week.  Not sure if I am have some side effects from the meds but once in awhile my fingers tips are numb and my mouth and face go numb.  I know, call the doctor.
I am unemployed at the moment.  I'm a little sad and missing Gabby. (The little girl I was watching)  Mom's new boyfriend is watching her.  I wish I could say that I am getting alot done but I'm not.  I will adjust and start something else.
Goose got a part in  (leg) but her teeth are fixed.(other accident)
I think that's about it for now.
Oh, I have been having lots of problems with my computer.
So, more pictures soon.
Stay warm.  It's really cold here and getting more snow all week-end.
Stay COZY.

TWO QUESTIONS:  JUST A COUPLE DAYS AGO I SAW THE CUTEST NEEDLEWORK PATTERN FOR A HAMSTER IN AN EXERCISE BALL, AND NOW I CAN'T FIND IT........DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE IT WAS.
I HAVE BEEN DRINKING DIET COKE FOR AS LONG AS THERE HAS BEEN DIET COKE AND ALL OF SUDDEN I CAN'T STAND THE TASTE OF IT.  ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS HAPPEN.

Debby, I'm so glad to see my package arrived safe and sound! YAY! Sorry to hear of the cancer patients, my mom was diagnosed two years ago Christmas with Lymphoma, she is doing well though (except for the weight lost, she too is tiny to begin with). We keep living day to day with the chemo. Praying for cancer victims. You make sure you take care of your self with those head aches and numbness! And don't be tripping and slipping on all that snow going to the mailbox!! Have a wonderful week end!

I totally agree about having some extra weight on when we get older. I hope you have a good weekend, Debby. All the hearts are so cute. You have lots going on in your life these days. Miss you!

Hi Debby, the hearts are beautiful especially that first one. Very sweet.

I'm thinking that since you've ben drinking diet Coke for as long as you can remember as you said, I'm willing to bet that you have reached saturation point with Aspartame sweetener.

Your headaches and numbness in the face are most likely associated with drinking diet Coke with Aspartame. It's toxic to your body and can also cause kidney damage.

I would stop drinking that and I would never give any to the kids. You can get more information on line.

I really mean this to help you get rid of your headaches. I know that it's difficult to stop drinking it if you've been drinking it for so long. Another reason to stop drinking Coke altogether is that it weakens bones.

A male acquaintance fell off his bicycle and broke his leg and it will not heal and is still on crutches over a year later. He's been a heavy drinker of Coke. I'm not sure if it was diet or not. He's younger than me.

Hugs,
JB

Each and every one of these hearts are beautiful! I have been in a few swaps and they are fun!

So sorry about the people in your life with cancer...when it rains, it pours. Yes, the weigh loss is scary and makes them seem so frail, sometimes when they aren't. Sending many prayers your way.

Get the headaches checked out pronto. It sounds like more than just headaches with the other symptoms. Do it!!

XO,
Jane

What a lot of work and craftsmanship went into the hearts! I'm glad the headaches are some better but please take care of yourself. It sounds like you're spread pretty thin with your time and probably leave yourself to last. Must take care of yourself in order to help others!

I can't wait to receive my hearts. I knew I needed to work on my photography skills, but seeing your photo of my banner and bags compared to mind really brought it home. Your photos are so much better.

Hi Debby, I will scan the pattern and send it to you.
So glad to hear about your MIL.
I can't thank you again for the wonderful swap. It has been such fun seeing all the amazing work! Snow and lots of it coming through Delaware today! Yeah!
Oh, Do you know my TSG's car was totaled by a city plow from Arlington, and that city has a policy you can's sue for damages. Not a good thing, but at least she is okay! Look for an e-mail. E

The hearts are all so pretty. Sorry to hear about your friends with cancer. It really is an awful disease. My husband keeps coming home and telling me about lots of people he knows of all ages who have some sort of cancer. Crazy how rampant it is now. You know, I gave up drinking soft drinks years ago and I also stopped using artificial sweeteners a couple of years ago -- now when I taste anything that is artificially sweetened, like Crystal Lite, it just tastes so bitter and disgusting. Any kind of soda really isn't good for you anyways. Sounds like you have lots going on over there. Take care of yourself. Tammy
