Good Bye Mountains

As of last night we are back in Ohio. Sure will miss those little grandchildren. This was a long visit this time. We really packed in alot of fun. Hope you don't get bored with all the pictures today and to follow.
We took one day to drive up the mountains to Keystone. My cousin, far left(Jo's brother), his wife and his daughter are working at The Keystone Science Camp. My cousin's son runs the camp. This is my daughter and her little guy. I got the short genes, didn't I? My daughter said it was going to be in the 90's that day. I questioned that esp. in the mountains. Well, it was in the 40's...........cold and even snowed a little.
Here we are above the tree line. Cold, snowy and very high.

This is at the camp. A storm was just ready to let loose.
Don't worry, there will be more pictures to come.
Just a couple of other things:
We had a dog sitter for one week then our youngest came and stayed. We never know what to expect when he stays here. In real life we are thankful that he can live on his own considering his challenges. Well he did well. At least we thought until I heard the cat. The cat had been in the spare bedroom for we don't know how long. Yes, she did. When you gotta go you gotta go. Still not sure where the smell is coming from but I am cleaning.
I am cat sitting now for the girl that did our dog sitting. I have been there twice and so far I haven't seen a cat. She never saw mine when she was here.
I also have the little girls today. A long day as I rescued their grandma that had been with them for 3 days. Their parents are due home soon from a trip out of town.
My flowers all survived. Well except the hosta.....the deer had those for dinner one evening.
So all is well just need to adjust to being home again. Can't wait to see the other granddaughters. It always takes me a few days to get over not seeing the other ones.
So, so long for now.

What gorgeous scenery! We were gone all last week, too, and even my potted tomatoes survived! I was pleased and a little surprised.

I'm glad that you had a great time with your family. I'm sure that you'll miss the beautiful mountains and the grandkids. I bet that you cat was happy to see you back home. Sorry for the mess it left but I guess it had no choice, poor thing.

One of my cats went missing one day and i found her two days later, locked in the shed. She sneaked in and hid and got locked in until I needed to get something in the shed.

Take care. JB

I'm sorry about your kitty getting stuck in the room. Did she get fed?!

Glad you got home, Debby. Good luck finding the source of that cat pee. We are working on a house now and have finally decided that the pee is in the crevices between the stair treads. Good Lord. What a bother.

Your family is so lovely...love your sweet daughter holding the little guy. How precious is that?

Hope you have a good week and get some rest-xo Diana

I'll bet you miss them, but are also glad to be home, Debby. I enjoyed my visit to NY, but was glad to be home again, too. Just saw the pictures Kathy took at Springfield ~ did you see her slideshow? You were in quite a few! I'm already marking my calendar for September.
