Down for the count

Please look at this post for humor and not whining.........that may be a challenge;
I am down for the count. I have streph throat and an ear infection. I haven't had anything like this for over a couple of years.
Wow. I can swallow today so I am trying to force myself to drink and eat. My head hurts so bad I have to hold it up with my hands. That may be from sleeping so much.(Sleep is good in my case) I have exhausted all places to sleep comfortably. Next it will be the floor and I don't think I have the strength to get up off the floor. I didn't mention that I have had this aching in my back for a couple of weeks now. The doctor doesn't know what it is but to watch it for shingles. My hand is doing well.....at least something is.
I cancelled my little ones for the whole week.
Tomorrow my Hubby is finally having the dental surgery he has been needing for months. He is being put under. He asked me if I am going to be able to take him. I told him he could drive there and somehow I will get us home. Heaven forbid. Then when we get home who is going to take care of who. (There is always another day of mending here for me)
Then there is the car. I haven't been outside since Sunday. But I am told my car is a mess. We have been host to around 200 buzzards the last two months. I guess my car is covered in their mess. Last year they did this to one of our cars and we couldn't see out the windows. Maybe Hubby can take it to the car wash tonight......he won't be out of commission til tomorrow, right.
The neighbors have been helping in the fight with the buzzards this year. I heard one shooting thi morning. Only pellet guns, as it is illegal to kill them as they are a migrating bird. Yea, they migrate to my house.
We are also having coyotoe (not sure how to sp. that and don't feel like looking it up) problems. They killed a couple of Yorkies in a town not far from here. I know they are close as my son has seen them a couple of miles away.
I signed up for a welding class for Saturday. At this point I will have to cancel. Hope I get my money back or I can take it again, maybe.
The poor doggies didn't get fed til late last night. Hubby isn't used to doing it. Then Izzy needed her meds.......she wouldn't take them for him. She hid under the table, maybe because he wasn't talking in a nice tone.
In the agenda today.......hope to change my jammies.......I have been in the same ones all week. Please don't picture that. I did get a bath before I went to the doctor on Tuesday. Throw some soup on the stove.....oh that sounds painful but I must feed the Hubby.
We will be okay. Rest assured, if it gets too bad our son is a phone call away.
I hope that you can find the humor in this post.
Still a couple of days left in the giveway.....you can still sign up.
Thank you all for your sweet comments this week. They help more than you can imagine.

Oh, my goodness, you poor thing! It's bad enough to be so sick, but to have buzzards AND coyotes hanging around - now that's just a bit TOO much!!! Hope you have a cheerful, happy movie you can watch!
Praying the dental surgery goes well, and that you'll feel much better real soon, Debby!

Oh Debby, I feel so bad for you! Ugh...I hate strep throat! I worked at a daycare/preschool when my youngest was little and I was sick more than healthy the whole time. I have heard about coyotes being seen in Mt Vernon but you are even closer to me! There is a guy in Coshocton that my husband knows who traps them. Living out here and having little toy dogs, it is always a worry that something could get them. Ick! Buzzard poop! I got a visual of your car and it wasn't good. Hope your husbands dental work goes well and feel better soon! ~Hugs, Patti

Oh Debby! I am so sorry you are sick. It is an awful time of the year to be stricken as it seems to take forever to get over stuff. I have a granddaughter who constantly gets strep infections. AWFUL! Make sure to steer clear of your hubby as he heals so he doesn't pick up your infection. Gotta hate those messy migrating birds this time of year, too. Love to you- Diana

Sadly, I've got this cartoon in my head from your word pictures--complete with you and the hubby in your car while hungry buzzards and coyotes look on. Get better soon!

You know Debby in a case like this here is what I would do, call on some of my Christian friends in our church to help us. We are always the ones helping others but I'm going to be needing help with getting a new range hauled and installed and I plan to call upon the church for help as Bob is still weakened and fighting off this PMR that he has. You must have friends too that you can call on. Take care dear friend and things will turn around soon I'm sure they always do. Nan

You are NOT whining! You are sick and you need your rest. You have too much on your plate to worry about and that's not good. Is there someone who can take your husband to the dentist tomorrow or can he reschedule it? How can you take care of him and yourself? Now I know I can be a big baby, but I hate being sick and I need to rest to get over anything I come down with...I cancel everything!

The buzzards and coyotes sound very annoying...we have coyotes up near the lake but they never really bother anyone. They must be very hungry if they are getting little dogs. My car parks right under a tree and I get my share of bird droppings. Thank goodness there is a car wash just up the street. Have hubby do that for you tonight.

If I could I would come over, bring you soup and meds to make you comfy and clean your house {I always need a clean house when I'm sick!!}. Hang in there, Debby. Hopefully the worst is over.

XO,
Jane

When it rains, it pours! Oh, dear! I could see the 'humor' in your post but I could also feel the pain.

Take care of yourself girl. It's not worth it to over do!!!

Hugs all around! Especially to you.

Debby, I'm sorry about a lot of things in this post, your being sick with strep throat and and having to worry about wether you have shingles, your hubby needing dental surgery and the little one needing you and the mess the buzzards made on your car, the coyotes... this is enough to make a grown woman cry... I hope that your feeling better very soon and that hubby can take care of the buzzard mess at the car wash before he gets to have surgery.

Sleeping on the floor isn't the most comfortable place but I've done that too just so I could be with the new baby at my daughter and son in law, so they could get an interrupted sleep without the new baby waking them up. Hang in there. I'll include some prayers for you and hubby. Hugs. JB

You need to call someone to help you out, Miss Deb!!! We'll have buzzards in the park behind us in March, just like every year. No droppings though. Those suckers are ugly than all get out! ICK...
The neighbor says he has seen coyotes behind us, but I have never seen them.
Take a Tylenol PM and try to sleep so you can feel better. :-)

Oh Debby, I did find humor in your post tonight and enjoyed chuckling along as I read your post. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, some how we always managed to do whatever we have to and then it is the afterwards that we wonder how we really managed. There is so much illness going around. Take care Your Missouri Friend

You poor thing! Strep throat is the worst!! I haven't had it in years. The last time I did I felt so bad I thought I was going to die. I'm sure your husband's dental surgery will go well and then you two will just have to rest and get better.
