Update on Izzy

Thanks girls for understanding about Izzy.  Thanks for the prayers and the words of comfort.  The vet thinks that she has strained her back due to favoring her one leg.  She is on steroids for a few days to see if that will help.  She is eating and doing other things like normal except for getting around.  She is walking some with alot of effort and not well.  She mostly just lays in one spot.  She has lost more weight.  When we wanted her too she didn't loose, now she keep loosing.  She is now where she can't loose any more.  Also I asked the doctor what happens if this doesn't work.  He said he really thought she would be okay.  If you would have seen her last night, I was sure that they would have to put her to sleep.  Mr. Cozy and I were pretty sad.  Why is it only pet lovers understand.  It is kind of like only bloggers understand about blogging.  I am only saying this because of an ongoing discussion with one of my children that doesn't have pets.  I won't bore you with the details.  Izzy's injury just happened to fall on top of another upsetting conversation.  SO, for the time being.......I am so happy that Izzy is doing okay for now.
Baby B. update.  The Sweet Baby had a bad ear infection.  He is in Disney right now and I am hoping he is doing better.  He also had a cough that I think he gave to Nanny.  I'm not feeling so good at the moment.  I started with just a cough and a back ache.  I think it will be a quiet Easter week-end here.

Awww, I do know how you feel about your puppy. I have a dog and hate when she feels sick. Hopefully the steroids will help her. And you take care of yourself too.

Have a blessed Easter,

Warm hugs,

Oh Debby, Your sweet girl reminds me of our Dixie and our Charlie that we have now. I hope she will be well very soon. Have a wonderful Easter day with your loved ones. Elizabeth

Poor Izzy-I hope this helps her heal better. Your right about pet people-one person who read my blog about one of "Scully's spells" told me I should just put him to sleep! If they can't give understanding I would at least hope for compassion. Needless to say she doesn't follow us anymore and I am just fine with that.
I hope you feel better also-this darn cold/flu season is long and hard.
Have a restful Easter.

Hi Debby, I'm glad that little Izzy is doing a bit better.
I've been thinking about her and this evening I remembered seeing an article about a dog who could no longer stand or walk and it was discovered that it had Virtical Nystagmus which is treatable and the dog quickly got better with medication.

It had to do with his eye disorder that was making him loose his balance and with medication , he was back to normal.

I hope that she will get better and I'm sorry that you and your grandkid are under the weather also.
You are in my prayers.
Hugs,
JB

Oh, my prayers are with you. Our special girl is nearly 14 and the love of our lives. We dread the day when her age just gets to her.

Hope that your beloved Izzy is feeling better soon, Debby. We are pet-lea currently, but do understand how pets are part of the family.
