Flannel Jammie Day with Claudia

Today is jammie day with Claudia.  It is so hard to take a picture of yourself.  I had asked Mr. Cozy to take some of me then backed out because I knew he would be laughing at me.  I took so many and as bad as this is, it was the best.  I look like I have black eyes in the others.  I tend to have those terrible dark circles anyway.    But this is supposed to be about jammies.
These are my favorite.  This is actually a hooded gown.  It was my cousin Jo's.  I was gifted it after she died.  I didn't ask for anything of hers because I had so many gifts from her.  I did buy three things of hers when they had things for sale.  But this was one thing given to me.  Please don't feel sad.  I am in a good place about this, I really am.  You know what makes this special........It's like a BIG WARM HUG from my cousin.......and that is a GOOD thing.
I stay in jammies all the time.  I usually have clothes that I can throw on quickly just in case someone comes to the door.  I love stretched out waffle shirts with worn out holes in them with my regular pants.  Anything comfortable.  If someone catches me not totally dressed I can find some excuse.  When I sleep my arms have to be covered.  I don't care how warm it is, they have to be covered or I get cold.  And my feet can't be covered.  Weird, I know.
Okay, that's me and my jammies.  Claudia has hot chocolate waiting.  See ya later.

I love your story, Debby. They look very comfortable and what I find incredibly moving is the story behind them. It IS like a big hug from your dear one. I can't imagine anything nicer. You look lovely, by the way! Hey, look what I posted today. Not looking my best, but that's what jammies are all about - comfort and ease.

Thank you so, so much for joining in for this little party.

What a lovely story about your pajamas. Yesterday a friend of mine brought me a pyji top because she thought I could use as quilt material. But there is a name tag of her father-in-law, who I liked very much, in it. I'll never use the shirt for a quilt. I'd rather wear it .... Have a nice day! Regula

I put my flannel pajamas on as soon as I get home from work in the winter. I love to be comforatable too. Are there deer in the print on your nightgown?

I love wearing comfy clothes around the house, and I think you look fine. That's nice getting something from someone you loved to remember them by. I got my dads watch...it wasn't expensive but he wore it all the time ...it means the world to me. I also like to be covered ...til I have a hot flash lol's :)

Such a sweet post Debby :-) lovely way to see your cousins pyjamas - like a big hug. They look warm and cosy. I never sleep with my feet out...Melvin the black terror and his sharp claws are not to be trusted with bare feet ;-) Pam xx

I love pyjama day. When I go back home to Canada there will be a few of those days all cozy in the cabin with the snow still coming down in April.
Thanks for peeking at my blog and your nice comment.
Cheers!

Love your cute, cozy pajamas and the story behind them. It's hard to take a picture of yourself, isn't it? I made my son take my picture. I told him, "Just do it - and don't ask." lol

What a dear sweet post about your gown. How precious that must be to you. I understand about being covered to stay warm while sleeping. If I get too hot, I stick one (just one) of my feet outside the covers to bring the temps down, LOL.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Enjoy the rest of your week!

I LOVE jammie days, when I get to lounge on the sofa (or in my bed) all day, watching junk TV or old movies, reading, eating home baked cookies & brownies, doing nothing productive. I don't get to have those days very often, but they're great when I do get a chance for them.
How sweet that you have your cousin's pajamas. It really must be like having a hug from her. And you look very cute & comfy in your jammies :)

I thought about doing that but I needed to get dressed and run errands and one place was the mall...and I am not wearing my ripped bottom flannels there! lol That is sweet about your cousins flannels...that is a wonderful way to think of it as a hug..Now Wed morning might be my day to hang around in my flannels since more snow is coming. ~Hugs, Patti

What a nice story behind your favorite jammies. Most of mine are missing buttons or threadbare, but I think that just makes them all the more comfortable to lounge around the house in.

You look so cute, Debby! It must feel so nice to be wearing something of your cousins. I took some of my Dad's flannel shirts after he died. They are comforting.

I can't wear anything on my feet either, even walking around the house on cold floors!

XO,
Jane

I so understand about your feet. Nothing worse than hot feet! Mine peek out from under all the covers (we're in Canada) and sometimes the kitties pat them!

Debbie you look so cute in your Jammie's! Do they have deer or moose on them? I have a pair with moose on mine from target and they are flannel and the hubs bucked then out and a pink long John shirt with a moose on it little logo it's my fav comfy Jammie's! I love that thought! Your cousin is and always will be giving you a great big warm hug! I want hot chocolate lol! I had to laugh about your hubs because mine always thinks I'm a weirdo when I say here take a pic of me and he says for your blog haha! I think your picture turned out great! Live ya Summer

I am the opposite my feet have to be covered! I know what you mean about wearing her clothes. I love to wear my Mom's things. I find it so hard to take pictures of myself while Ashley & Lindsey have taken great pictures of themselves. I can't seem to get the knack of it.

I love comfy pajamas, Debby! When I'm sleeping, at least in the Winter, I need my arms, legs and feet covered. This means I don't usually wear nightgowns. I usually wear flannels, bed socks and a big t-shirt from hubby. I keep my arms under the covers. I find if I wear long sleeve tops I wake up sweating.

So you left snow in Colorado to come home to more snow! : )

If I don't have to leave the house, I live in my jammies too. If you get a remote control for your camera, you can use that to take your photo, or if your camera has a timer on it use that. Of course, when all else fails, stand in front of a mirror. lol.
You have a great night. Hugs, Edna B.

That's so beautiful! My dd is an only and she has two female cousins that she is close to; I hope she feels that same tie. So touched.

What a cute post Debby. I would love to stay in jammies all day too, and sometimes I do when I'm working from home. But I'm always afraid somebody will drop by and then I'd be embarrassed, so I usually get up and get dressed. The only time I feel like it's okay to stay in my jammies is when I'm sick and no one expects more from you. Either way, they are the most comfortable clothes we own - aren't they?

I'm with you...if I could be in my jammies all day I would! I think I might suggest to the company I work for that we have a jammie day! So glad you had a great time with your grands, I'm off to Atlanta to visit mine!

PJs are so comfortable! It would be nice to have such fond memories of your cousin associated with the gown.

Gads Debby!!! I was over at Nan's blog and saw your comment about the swap and I forgot about it! Ugh...when are the deadlines to get them in the mail? I have my idea, just new to find the time!

You are as cute as can be in the jams!

Debby, nice to know that others also stay in Jammie's a lot. My favorites are 3 flannel LL Bean gowns that were purchased at a thrift store 2 years ago in nearly new condition and they are still in great shape. And, yes they all have long button down sleeves as my arms do get chilly too.

I wish I could spend all days in pyjamas but I might get funny looks at the school gate. You look very comfortable!
