The road trip comes to an end

We made it from Ohio to Colorado just fine.  Only one fall at a rest stop that led to a bump on the head and a bloody nose.  No not me......this cute non stop three old.  While we are all suffering from the last leg of the trip........as you can see he isn't.  What is he doing.  He is fishing of course.
Okay.......I think I signed up with Blog Lovin.  Scared I will loose all my blog by friends.  I fly home on Tuesday and hope to get things straightened out then.  I have received group requests but didn't know what to do.  Hope it isn't too late.  Bear with me.  I have lots to tell you.  So don't disappear on me.  Hugs

Grammy love times six

It is so much fun having everyone under one roof.  The cousins are having so much fun.  Lots of stories to tell later.  So far the wee one had to be rescued from the pool.  Not one of our finer moments for sure.  The last one just went to Urgent Care and has strephsteely .My Kindle insists on the steely....its not a new disease.  Hoping the other twelve of us aren't parading to Urgent. Care in a couple days. I will be back soon. Hugs.

We are now in Ohio.  It took two long days from Colorado by car.  We will leave on Friday for Hilton Head where we will meet up with the rest of the family.  We actually will be seeing most of them here in Ohio first.  Lots to tell you when I have a free minute.  Not much quiet time right now.

June is for bride and grooms

I know my friend Claudia collects bride and grooms.  What sweet things to collect.  I have always wanted to have my parents.  My Mom kept saying I could some day.  Finally after coaxing every time I go to her house, she said to go ahead and take it.  It doesn't stand on it's own so I put it in a cup and saucer that belonged to my great grandparents.  Aren't they just the cutest.  The grooms hat is tattered.  But yours would be too if you were first used in 1945.    The picture is dark but the ones that I used a flash on didn't show the details as well.
The little kissing angels were on our wedding cake.  The bride's wings are a little broken.  Wouldn't you know, mine.  I had real flowers on the top of my cake.  The plastic bride and groom are a little of a mystery.  I recently found them in a box of my things from my wedding.  I don't know where it came from.  Maybe from a gift or another cake, not sure but glad to have it.  It's rather cute, I think.  The others are precious moments and a teddy bear music box.  I didn't even realize I had all of these.  and.......the china cabinet was my grandmothers.  It is a very dark stained cherry.  Probably mass produced but still probably at least 100 years old.  I have been wanting to paint it but worried about ruining the value.  I painted the back of the shelves a minty green/blue.  I really like it and may go ahead and paint the whole cabinet at a later date.  So there you have it ......another collection.  Happy June, brides.  (I got married in October, how about you?)

I arrived safely in Colorado.  I slept the whole way.  So far my grands
.have been teaching me to dance and do yoga.  I have been playing Battleship.  We celebrated my SIL `s  birthday. Right now one is having a mini melt down.  So I must attend to that.  I will be back.

Part two

The new sofa arrived tonight.  I love it.  Sorry the picture is dark.  I am worn out.  The house is as done as it will get done. Notice the floors........I have wanted them for so long. I will change up some other things when I return. Off to Colorado in the early morning.  I am looking forward to sleeping on the plane.  I will catch up with you all later.  (((((HUGS)))))

My Upside down house/Part One

My house is a mess.  No a real mess.  To my surprise two weeks ago my husband drove me to the flooring store......needless to say I was shocked.  This is something I have wanted forever.  No more carpet in our living and dining room area.  This is a big space.  We have an older home but the rooms are very open.  Well, even though I am so excited over this, it has come at a busy time.  You see I am about to venture on a crazy road trip........more on that later.
What does this sofa have to do with this......you will see, but do you like it.  This picture is taken from the store window of Gallery Dreams and White Cottage. Just happens this is one of my favorite stores.
Okay, after two days of living downstairs (our home is a bi-level.......I am now upstairs.  The floor is down and I love it.  There is a layer of dust everywhere and everything is in our bedroom waiting to be moved back.  Now that isn't all.  I completely tore the downstairs up the last two days.  I re-organized our big storage closet and play room.  I have lots of toys because I used to have a pre-school and because I still watch children here.....and other BIG news.......more on that later.  (You see you have to read this long post til the end, he he)  Those are done.  I need to turn the one large bedroom into a bedroom again for our daughter and her kids.........  I am going through my craft room.  I have way stuff.  So easy to ignore the downstairs and just live upstairs.  While 3,000 sq. feet might sound little to most of you but it's big to me.  So the downstairs is about 1/2 finished.  Upstairs about 2 days away from being finished and it all needs cleaned.....OKAY and I have today and tomorrow  WHY
I am flying to Colorado on Wednesday morning.  Yippee.  The road trip begins.
3 days later My daughter and her 7 and 3 year old leave by car from Colorado to Ohio....with me, of course.(Saturday)
We get back here hopefully on Monday or Tuesday and rest a couple of days.  We make the trip to see the grandmothers and other family members.  My daughter hasn't been here for over 4 years.  No one has met Rico.
Then on Friday, we take Mr. Cozy and we all get back in the car (actually a Pilot) and head for Hilton Head.  The rest of the family will meet us there for a week.  Our youngest son will actually be in DC with his new church group.  We did this vacation two years ago and had so much fun.  The second time all the cousins have been all together EVER.  But that may be changing.  WHY.  BECAUSE, my son is being transferred to OHIO.  We are so excited.  So two of my Colorado grands will be living in Ohio now.  I will still have two in Colorado but two more will be closer.  OKAY, back to the road trip.
The following Saturday we head back to Ohio.  We will stay in Ohio a few days and then back in the car for Colorado.  Oh yes, again.  I will stay in Colorado a few days and then back to Ohio by plane.  So far I only have a one way ticket to Colorado because this is all so confusing that we couldn't figure out a return date.  I have to return as my hubby, dogs, and my job won't let me stay there forever.
So there it is UPSIDE DOWN......I bet you can't wait on Part Two.
I can do it, I can, I can......
