Ready and waiting

Izabella and Piper waiting on me to feed them.  I think Goose took this picture.
I am ready and waiting on the job situation.  I have some possibilities now and may even have to make a decision.
Not soon, but hopefully sometime next week.  Thanks everyone for your encouragement, prayers and good wishes.
Also thanks for your comments on my hair.  I didn't expect that but thanks.  It's cooler for sure.
That silly Cindy from Rick-Rack and Gingham is having another swap.  I thought about saying no but as I said that is hard.  I think I will sign up.  It's a kitchen swap.
I am still having problems with commenting on some blogs.  Geez, Louise.
Oh and I am so missing these little feet......

Little of this a little of that

This is the quilted wall hanging that I won in a give a way from Donna at Comin' Home.  Isn't it beautiful.  I'm not sure this is where it will stay.  I love it.  Donna is such a sweet mom, grandma and wife.  Her blog is inspiring.
My scarecrow for Cindy's fall ME banner swap.  Her blog is Rick-Rack and Gingham.  She has a huge family and is so sweet.  She burns the candle at both ends lately.  She is awaiting hurricane season.  You have to read her blog to find out why.  The second picture is the letter l as in FALL, also for the swap.  The backs of my letters are pretty simple....just in case you see the banner from another room.
Sunday I did nothing but rest.  My husband and I watched a marathon movie on the Hallmark channel.  He even admitted that he liked the movies.
Monday, yesterday, I worked on this swap, ran to the store as I was out of Gluten free items.  I sure miss real bread.  A little loaf of GF was over $6......it was about the third of the regular size loaves.
Today, I made some phone calls and delivered some resumes.  I am trying to find a job.  I am just going to see what happens.
A friend called and wanted to know if I would go on The Tour of Homes.  It is in a fancy wealthy community....the one that the owner of Bath and Body Works established.  I said no.  That is a hard word for me to say.  But I did, yeah.
For some reason I am feeling really tired....I may take a snooze.  My Yorkie is snoring in my ear at the moment.  She snores louder than my husband sometimes.
I am enjoying some alone time but I think I am missing working.

((((HUGS))) to all of you my dear Bloggers.

Hot day at the zoo.  Wild hair.
New hair cut.
I haven't had my hair this short for years.  It was a spur of the moment decision.  Oh, how I love these kids and their Grampy
And these little ones.
Four out of six of my grandchildren are flying home to Colorado as I write.  Two flying from Ohio and the other two from
New York.  Safe travels my loved ones.  Hope to see you all again soon.

Random post

Yep, she did.  She ate the crickets.  Her daddy bought them.  He asked her if she wanted to eat them and with not a bat of the eye she put them in her mouth and ate them.  I didn't even get a picture of her looking at them.  I teased her later about seeing an antennae in her mouth.  She wasn't too sure about that.
Other random thoughts:
For some reason I can't comment on some blogs.  I am also being stopped from following some other blogs.
Anyone else having this problem?
I am tired of this heat........
My two grandbabies return to Colorado tomorrow.  It has been so much fun seeing them.  Of course, I missed the other two that weren't here.  Makes me sad to think of how much we miss out on their growing up being so far away.
About the job thing:
I did get a call back on the before and after school administrator job.  I have an interview on the 3rd.

Okay let this randomness end.  Hope everyone stays cool and has a restful week-end.   ((((HUGS))))

We went to the zoo today........hot, humid, fun

It was hot.  Thank goodness there were clouds.  This Grammy is tired....5 hours at the zoo, oh my.  Our zoo has a new polar bear exhibit.  We also have Manatees.  The cloudy blue pictures are Manatees.  They were not very active today.  Should I mention that we also have Jack Hanna, this zoo is his "baby."
This Baby Girl was worn out......so is her Grammy.
Not complaining, I'd do it again just not tomorrow.

Thanks for your comments yesterday.  They confirmed what I feel.  We will see what happens.
I am enjoying having Little Fella and
Babes here this week.  The older boys are their cousins.

Trying to decide what to do next

Sorry, these aren't pretty feet.  My nails are polished though.  I have two hours before the post office closes.  I have to mail
Brenda her box today, because, I promised.
This is probably the only day this week that I don't have anything planned.  Fun plans to see the out of state babies before they leave.
I am glued to this couch contemplating my future.  I had planned this fall to still be watching my granddaughter.  I found out before my trip to Colorado that she will be going to pre-k full time this fall.  I am sad but I understand.  I have a newborn that is supposed to start in October.  (not even born yet)  I hope to have another baby to watch as well.
But, that is a long time to wait for an income.  It's not life or death if I work but right now,  I need to.....at least a little.  I have applied (today) for a co director position at a before and after school program and also for a part time teacher at a pre-school.  I have the education and experience.   I'm not sure that is want  I want to do.  I'm not a spring chicken anymore.  I have loved watching little ones in my "own" home for the past two years.  I like my compute to work (hah) esp. in the winter.
I just really don't know what I want to do.  I  do know that I love children and I don't want to retire just yet.
Does anyone have advice for me or have you had these feelings .  Thanks for listening to me ramble.   ((((HUGS))))

Can a "baby" girl have enough shoes

Such a serious look....she tired on every pair of her cousins shoes.  Her Mama has a degree in fashion, hah.  Grammy on the other hand, has lots of old
Birks, some crocs (Mickey ones, of course) and one old pair of black shoes that can pass for a tiny step above casual.
Not a big shoe person....I am a comfort person.
This sweet little girl is something else.  I will say this once as I don't like to disclose names.....but her name is Mabel.
Now isn't that as cute as she is.

Home Sweet Home

Hubby and I arrived home yesterday.  We actually left for the airport at 3:30 a.m.
An uneventful flight home, yippee.  Scooped up our doggies and brought them home.  First thing in the door were baths for both of them.  Then jammies for us.....4:oo p.m., hah.
Today I am still in those jammies and it is 1:00 p.m.  Soon to change as we are having a cookout at my sons'.  My other son's wife and kids are in town from Colorado.(Yes, that is from where I returned)
I am missing Sweet Baby Q. in my arms today.  He is 7 months now and just a bundle of smiles and doing new things every day.  I was the designated  "rock him to sleep person" .  We all call it the water bed effect.  Although he smiled and laughed constantly he would not sleep.  He went to the doctor yesterday and both ears were infected.  Poor little man.
I wanted to share the inside of my altered box,  that Brenda of Cozy Little House won, before I mail it tomorrow.
Also wanted to show you a couple of things I purchased while I was away.  Love these measuring cups from World Market and they were only $9.99.  Did you know that Country Home has a special magazine out.  Yippee.  They are supposed to have another in September.  I am so excited.  I hope they return monthly but until then I will enjoy this issue for sure.
The other picture is of my sweet furry babies.  They are worn out but glad to be freed from boarding.  Also, my pile of mail that I am sorting through.
Now....I'm off to get out of these jammies, go to the store and get some gluten free things to eat and then to see my other 4 grandbabies.

Last Day in Colorado

Our last day in Colorado.  It's always hard to say goodbye.  I will miss little Q. in my arms and the chatting Snow White.  Little Fella and Babes are already in Ohio, so we will get to visit with them when we return.
There was a beautiful double rainbow here last night.  Part of the sky was very dark and the sunshine came through at the right time.  We couldn't see the total rainbows but Grampy, Snow White and my SIL were fishing and they could see both rainbows in full form.
Do you see Snow White and Me in the train?  I think I will come home by train, what do you think?
I hope everyone is surviving the heat.....supposed to be 98 in Colorado tomorrow.

Feeling much better......some new pictures of my Colorado Babies

Grammy's camera skills were also under the weather yesterday.  Snow White and I went to Whole Foods to get Grammy's gluten free food.  The little ones swam at the pool but the air was a bit cool for their little bodies.  More pictures to come.

Ohio, Florida, Texas, and Colorado on the 4th

Sorry no pictures.  I left Ohio bound for Colorado yesterday morning.  I had to fly to Florida first, I know that's weird.  But the weird stuff was just beginning.  There were severe storms in Denver so we were put in a hold pattern until the fuel got low.  So we went to Texas to refill.  We weren't allowed to exit the plane.  Then off we go again.  Only to be sent here and there, who knows where, 5 more times.  Then we got the go ahead to land.  This was straight out of a movie.......for one hour we went through the rain, wind, lightening and rocking.  The little three year old next to me got sick.  I wanted to say, enough is enough, take us anywhere and land.  Finally 6 and one half ours later we landed.  That was not counting the trip from Ohio to Florida.  I haven't felt good all day.  But it is wonderful seeing my sweet grandbabies.  I will feel better tomorrow.
Don't forget my give a way.

Fourth of July Small Town Style

These other  pictures are at my house.  My husband put the snowman out because he had a flag.  I thought it was cute so I left it out.  The pot that the flowers are in is an old old lard kettle.
Everyone have a safe 4th.  I will be flying all day.  I'll wave.
